Solar Water Heating
How Solar Water Heating Works for Your Home
KiDi Solar designs and installs solar thermal systems across Marbella and Andalucía – from site survey and sizing to commissioning – so you get reliable domestic hot water with less gas, diesel or electricity.

Full Installation
From roof survey to a working solar water system
Collectors are typically mounted on the roof of a house, villa, office or warehouse – or on a suitable outdoor surface. Our team visits the site, takes measurements, calculates demand, selects equipment, then installs, connects and commissions the system.
Efficiency and longevity depend on correct design: roof pitch, orientation, shading and household hot-water use. KiDi Solar engineers are manufacturer-certified, with more than 7 years of experience and 89+ solar water heaters already in our portfolio.
Why It Pays Off
Cut Hot Water Costs – Cover Up to 80% of DHW
Savings
Up to 50% on your bill
Solar thermal taps free energy for daily hot water – and can support pool heating or your existing heating system – while cutting gas, diesel and electricity use.
DHW
Up to 80% of hot water
IDAE notes that about 26% of Spanish home energy goes to hot water. Well-sized solar collectors can cover most of the water that comes out of your taps.
Planet
Cleaner energy at home
Solar thermal is renewable and produces no combustion emissions at the point of use – a practical way to lower your household CO₂ footprint.
System Components
What a Solar Water Heating Installation Includes
A domestic hot-water solar thermal system is built from proven parts that capture, store and deliver heat safely.
Solar collectors
Capture solar energy and transfer it to the fluid circulating inside the panels.
Accumulators
Store heat so hot water is available when demand peaks or solar radiation is low.
Heat exchangers
Move heat between circuits without mixing fluids – keeping the primary loop separate from domestic water.
Circulation pumps
In forced-circulation systems, pumps drive heat-transfer fluid through the collectors and tank circuit.
Insulation
Keeps heat in pipes and the storage tank so less energy is lost to the outside air.
Expansion vessel
Absorbs fluid expansion in a closed circuit as temperatures rise – protecting the system under heat.
Thermosyphon
Thermosyphon systems – natural circulation, no pump
Thermosyphon kits are straightforward to install – including homes that already have another hot-water source. They need no power supply and no circulation pump, take no indoor plant-room space, and rely on natural convection: hot water rises into a tank mounted above the collector.
Forced-circulation systems remain ideal when the tank must sit away from the collectors or when higher performance control is required. KiDi Solar helps you choose the right approach for your roof and demand.
